Noble & Cooley is the oldest Drum Company in the country. When tasked with designing a label for their Special Edition snare drums, I set out to evoque all the storied heritage of the brand — and the country they’ve helped shape — looking all the way back to their founding in 1854.

COOLEY’S CURLIES
Scattered all across the time-worn floors of Noble & Cooley’s factory — where they’ve been making drums by hand since 1854 — you’ll find piles and piles of curly wood shavings from the drum making process. They thought it would be pretty funny to scoop these up and start selling them in their shop. I designed the packaging for this do-it-all wonder product, with a nod to the golden age of totally hyping up things that don’t have all that many uses.
